The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino is an undergraduate teacher education program aimed to produce highly competent Filipino language educators equipped with content mastery, pedagogical skills, research capabilities, and teaching competencies to facilitate successful learning and appreciation of the Philippine national language. BSEd - Filipino students are expected to create teaching-learning activities, instructional materials, and language programs to resolve learning issues and struggles. Graduates of the program are perceived to be committed to ethical standards and lifelong learning precepts and to possess agility and flexibility toward educational reforms.
