Four Professional Schools students off to Europe for exchange program

The University of Mindanao sent off on a five-month student exchange program four students from its graduate school to Daugavpils University in Europe, the largest regional university in Latvia. Chrestine Torrejos, Leslae Kay Mantilla, Mark John Pepito, and Jessa Mae Balbanida will be studying for one semester under the ERASMUS Mobility+ grant, a program of the European Union with partner countries that allow for educational opportunities in Bachelor, Masteral, or Doctoral degrees. The four departed for Latvia last Feb. 12 after having met with Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr. and other senior school officials for courtesies before leaving. UM is especially supportive of programs that allow its students to broaden their horizons and opportunities to obtain education, and promotes research initiatives among its students and faculty.
