What we defined UM to be at present is not a matter of stroke of luck. The passion, experience, talents, wisdom, and energy welded together by the people in the organization have contributed to UM's humble legacy to the world---excellent leadership education.
And for as long as these ideals exist, we shall continue to sharpen the intellect and shape students and the university itself to construct a more productive and sustainable world to live in.

UM Matina Campus
The University of Mindanao is a private, non-sectarian school located in Davao City on the Southern Philippine island of Mindanao. Established in 1946, the University of Mindanao has ten branches spread over thirteen campuses in Southern Mindanao.
It has a total student population of 29,765 (SY 2007-08). It is the largest private university in Mindanao with the most number of PACUCOA accredited programs in the country today.
