UM performs above national average in 2025 licensure exam for Teachers



The College of Teacher Education is recognized for its impressive performance in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in Elementary and Secondary Levels.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, a total of 21,967 elementary teachers out of 43,035 examinees (51.04%) and 57,729 secondary teachers out of 79,493 examinees (72.62%) successfully passed their respective examinations given last Sept. 21, 2025 and November 30, 2025 in 45 testing centers across the Philippines, in Hong Kong, and in Thailand.

Further, out of the 21,967 elementary teachers who passed, 19,924 are first time takers and 2,043 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, out of the total number who passed, 52,207 passers are first time takers while 5,522 are repeaters.

The University of Mindanao proudly stands as the only private teacher education institution among the top-performing schools, ranking Top 10 nationwide (300+ examinees) with at least an 88% passing rate in the secondary level.
