Finnish Embassy visits UM; explores possibility of partnerships in Education
The Embassy of Finland in the Philippines visited the University of Mindanao to explore potential areas of academic collaboration with Finnish higher education institutions.
The delegation was led by Veera Kaarela, together with Mika Tirronen; Tony Peralta, Chairperson of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP) and Honorary Consul of Finland to Mindanao; and Rie Realingo.
They were received by Chief Information Officer Dr. Edgardo Castillo, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ronnie Amorado of the University.
The meeting focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration between Philippine and Finnish universities, particularly in the areas of faculty and student exchange, joint research, and dual degree programs.
The University of Mindanao continues to strengthen its global linkages in pursuit of academic excellence and internationalization.
