Mission
As a vital hub for intellectual inquiry, providing rich resources and collaborative spaces that foster research, creative dialogue, and cultural activities to cultivate the scholarly endeavors of future leaders in society and the world.
Objectives
- Acquire and organize library materials, equipment and facilities to support teaching and research in the evolving subject areas of the curriculum;
- Enhance the information literacy of the library patron to ensure greater access and utilization of the resources;
- Conduct research activities that generate findings for the continuous reinvention of service excellence and respond creatively to the changing expectations and needs of the academe;
- Engage in staff development activities that will enable library staff to continuously improve services in an ever-changing information environment;
- Collaborate with libraries and other educational institutions globally to strengthen resources and services available to students, faculty and staff;
- Develop library programs that uplift literacy and build learners reading culture in the community; and
- Organize literatures on Mindanao and the institution's publications, memorabilia, artifacts, etc. for the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage reading materials.

Operating Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No Noon Break
Closed on Sundays and Holidays
Who May Use the LIC?
- All bonafide students of the UM and its branches.
- UM administrators, faculty members (full-time & part-time) and support staff.
- UM alumni certified by the Office of the Alumni Center.
- Students from member-schools of the library association and network with referral letters issued by their respective Librarians (on premise use only); and
- Visitors with referral letters and access fee.
