HERMES PROJECT FOR BETTER SERVICE



In line with the University of Mindanao’s commitment to delivering quality service, the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) conducted the HERMES Project: A Filipino Brand Service Excellence and Work Productivity. This orientation is tailored specifically for newly-hired non-teaching employees, with an objective to promote the significance of professionalism and service-oriented values.

Twenty-seven (27) new employees from main and branches attended this event on April 14, 2026 at AVR 3, SS Building, UM Bolton Campus. 

The program commenced with an opening remarks by Mr. Romeo S. Reginio Jr., giving an overview of what participants can expect from the event. This was subsequently followed by Dr. Carmencita E. Vidamo’s presentation of customer satisfaction feedback report. This highlighted the importance of gaining insights into client experiences to provide better services.   

The session continued into Filipino Brand Service Excellence, where Dr. Clarence Joy D. Alcaraz discussed tourism context and key service principles. Additionally, service delivery and recovery frameworks were also highlighted by Dr. Clarence, making sure that the participants are well-equipped with practical approaches to customer service.

Lastly, the program concluded with a performance evaluation discussion by Ma’am Evelyn T. Galope, closing the day’s event with a shared drive to deliver service with heart and excellence.
