About the Program
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program is tailored to prepare students for both graduate studies and diverse careers focused on studying, analyzing, and addressing environmental problems. It equips students with knowledge and techniques for investigating questions related to human population, environmental, and natural resources management.
Program Educational Objectives
Three to five years after graduation, the graduates are expected to:
- Equipped with sufficient knowledge on scientific theories and techniques needed to monitor and understand environmental quality.
- Integrate and apply the various disciplines towards the understanding of environmental problems and phenomena.
- Update knowledge regularly regarding relevant local, regional, and global environmental issues.
- Employ rational structured approach to solving environmental problems.
Student Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have the ability to:
- (ENVISCI) Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and understanding in the core areas of environmental science
- (ENVISCI) Disseminate knowledge/ information effectively pertaining to sound environmental conservation, protection, utilization, and management.
- (ENVISCI) Demonstrate ability to contribute to the protection and management of the environment.
- (ENVISCI) Assess and analyze local environmental issues and address these issues by employing best management practices from local and/or global perspectives.
- (ENVISCI) Apply appropriate knowledge and innovation related to the environment.
