UM faces the 525th AUNQA Programme Assessment

Months of preparation and anticipation culminated on June 16 as the University of Mindanao underwent program assessment with the AUNQA (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance) on the following programs: BS in Mechanical Engineering, BSBA Major in Marketing Management, BS in Psychology, and BS in Communication.

These four programs count as the third batch that have undergone assessment with the AUNQA. Beginning in 2024, the University of Mindanao has so far had twelve programs assessed; and more set this coming October.

The visiting assessors are from different countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Their fresh perspectives based on the AUNQA guidelines help to bring long-term improvement to the assessed programs, helping to make UM's plans and programs, students, and other stakeholders globally ready and future-proof.

UM was visited from June 16-19, 2026 and in the span of two days assessors spoke with students, faculty and staff, alumni, and some industry employers; and were able to tour our facilities in the Matina and Bolton sites.
