UM Gears Up for LEAD 4.0 Ahead of 2026 DOST Call, Empowers New Project Leaders
The University of Mindanao through the Research and Innovation Center started the month of March with the roll out of LEAD 4.0 (Leveraging Expertise to Advance and Develop) - a capacity-building training and writeshop aimed at preparing faculty-researchers for the 2026 Department of Science and Technology (DOS) research grant call. The activity started last March 3 and culminated the next day, March 4 at the AVR 4, New Library, UM Matina.
This two-day training and writeshop focused on enhancing UM researchers` competencies in proposal development, including aligning research agendas with national priorities, sharpening problem statements, refining methodologies, and meeting the technical requirements of major funding agencies. Emphasis was placed on producing research proposals that are not only methodologically sound but also responsive to societal and developmental needs.
The deadline for the submission of the proposals is on March 15, 2026 at exactly 5:00 PM.
