UM Strengthens International Ties with Kagawa Prefecture and Suntech Industries
Eyeing to strengthen academic, cultural, and industry ties, UM President Guillermo P. Torres Jr along with top university officials traveled to Kagawa Prefecture and met with no less than Governor Ikeda Toyohito for their bilateral meeting.
Aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals, the visit was also an opportunity to meet with Hiromi Aoki, President of Suntech Industries, to explore promising avenues for collaborative partnerships.
Joining Dr. Torres in this strategic mission were Dr. Edgardo Castillo, Chief Administrative Officer; Dr. Ronald Amorado, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Reynaldo Castro, Vice President for International Affairs.
These engagements reflect UM’s continued commitment to global linkages and its vision of expanding opportunities for students, faculty, and institutional development.
