UMasenso Hub Empowers UM Faculty Members on Entrepreneurship, 11 Obtain Full Educator Certification
The UMasenso Hub, in partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation, proudly hosted the Cultivating Innovation: Faculty Certification in Entrepreneurship last August 20, 2025 at the Research Hangar, TBI Working Area.
The event gathered passionate faculty members from UM Tagum, UM Digos, UM Panabo, UM Bansalan, and UM Peñaplata, who officially signed up for the journey toward becoming certified educators in entrepreneurship. Guided by the Program Head Manager of Wadhwani Foundation, Ms. Mary Rose Ofianga, the workshop empowered participants with extensive training on answering modules, creating venture startups, and conducting live demo teaching sessions. After their dedicated efforts, 11 faculty members from UM Tagum were proudly awarded as Fully Certified Educators of Entrepreneurship.
The UMasenso Hub is the university`s Technology Business Incubator established in August 2019 under the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HEIRIT) program of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).
